Plant Description:

This plant resembles grass and has a bulb-like stem. It smells and tastes like lemon, and is used as a spice in many Eastern cuisines.

Pharmaceutical use:

Citronella has a refreshing, activating effect and is used against fatigue, headaches, and migraines. It has antiseptic, fungicidal and insecticidal properties, and due to these characteristics has wide application in mosquito repellent products. It regulates excessive sweating (deodorant) and is excellent in products for oily skin care.
